Shipping Policy

TeaLula ships to all 50 states and military addresses (AE, AA, AP). We use USPS and offer the following shipping options: 

  • First Class Package
  • Priority Mail
  • Priority Mail Express

Free shipping...with our compliments. 

Orders of $50 or more addressed to a physical location (no PO boxes) within the contiguous United States qualify for free First Class shipping provided by USPS.

Help, I have a Tea-Mergency! 

We’ve got you covered. We have two expedited shipping options--Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express. Once you provide a shipping address, a list of your shipping options will be generated. All expedited shipping costs will be determined by your shipping address, and each expedited option will list the arrival date. The cutoff for expedited orders is 12pm Central Time (CT) Monday-Saturday. Any orders placed after 12pm CT Monday-Friday will ship the following day. Orders placed after 12pm CT on Saturday will ship out on Monday. 

Fine print in bold font: Free shipping applies only to the First Class Package option provided by USPS.

Log into your account to track the status of your order. When we ship each box, you'll receive an email notification with a USPS tracking URL and a list of all the amazing teas that are on their way to you. If you have any questions about an order, contact us at 888-Tea-Lula.

Shipping schedule:

We (and by we, we mean Fred) ship out packages every day except Sunday. Fred’s earned a day to slow down and savor his own cuppa. Standard shipping time for First Class packages is 3-5 business days, but the USPS tends to delight our customers with deliveries within 2-3 business days. 

Holiday schedule:

Orders placed by 12pm CT on Dec. 16 are sort of guaranteed to arrive in time for Santa to take full credit. Those prone to procrastination have until Dec. 21 before placing an order via Priority Mail. Those who like to live on the edge (!!) can wait until Dec. 22 to place your Priority Mail Express order.

We’d love to see your face:

If you’re in the Chicagoland area, you can skip the shipping fees and stop by our shop. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready within one business day, if not sooner. We’ll send you an email when your order is ready.

Our in-store pickup hours are daily 12-4 pm.

Return Policy

If you’re on this page, you may have already ordered from us, and, for that we are very grateful. But, if you need to make a return, we will make that experience easy and hassle free. Here’s our policy:

Not my cuppa: The tea didn’t taste how I imagined it would. May I return it? We cannot offer a refund or exchange once packaged tea has been opened. However, because we want you to find a tea that suits your taste, you may order complimentary samples of our tea to try before you buy.

A bitter mistake: I added the wrong item to my cart and didn’t notice until after I placed the order. May I exchange it? If you made a mistake on your order, like adding the wrong item, you may cancel it prior to shipping or call us at 888-Tea-Lula and we’ll help you out.

I’m in hot water: I bought a teapot for my beloved, but it’s not big enough or the right color. May I exchange it? We will absolutely exchange it within 30 days of the purchase date. Call us at 888-Tea-Lula to exchange it.

Chipped cup: When I opened the box, my teaware was in pieces. Will you replace it? Of course we will replace it! Please take a photo of the damaged item and the shipping box and send an email to staff@tealula.com.
